They are known for their seafood and Latin American dishes. But the excellence of the food and the service both times outweighed the problems, and we would go back again.Bahama Breeze is a chain of American restaurants that specializes in Carribean inspired cuisine. On both occasions that we ate here, the main courses came before we had finished my soup and my wife's appetizer. As mentioned, I ordered a cup of chowder and got a bowl, and I asked for unsweetened iced tea and got sweetened. Our server was very attentive, and when the kitchen mistakenly sent me a bowl of the chowder rather than a cup, she made sure I got charged only for a cup.Ī few complaints - the noise level is high, especially if you are seated near the bar, and I was getting a breeze (not a Bahama breeze!) from the heating duct overhead. Portions were very large, and we both took home leftovers. (I am sensitive about sausage and salt since I have high blood pressure.) My wife had the conch fritters and the jerk chicken pasta, and enjoyed both. I very much enjoyed the paella both times, and contrary to another review, I did not find too much sausage in it, nor was it too salty. ![]() The chowder is one of the best soups I have ever had anywhere. I had the same thing both times - the seafood chowder and the seafood. We ate here for the first time on Valentine's Day when we had trouble getting a reservation elsewhere, and we enjoyed it enough that we came back for New Year's Eve.
